Attended by more than 70 participants including Universities, governmental bodies, local public authorities, civil protection personnel, Geoparks, Emergencies and environment bodies, urban and tourism planning agencies, this workshop culminates months of work by the Consortium in networking with relevant stakeholders of the Atlantic Area in order to put into action the plans for the pilots delayed by the CoVid-19 pandemic. The objectives of the online event were to present the roadmap and visions of the individual observatories and find tools and support for the implementation, share and define common methods and tools for assessing risks (satellite images, indicators, instrumentation, GIS…), establish harmonised operational recommendations between the different pilot observatories to monitor natural risks, developing citizen sciences in collaboration with populations to educate and transfer results. These objectives were met with excellent results.
Stakeholders present included Geoparks, public authorities, Civil protection and emergency services, Universities, tourism services and researchers.
The recording of the workshop will be made available in this page and the AGEO social media pages shortly.
